As you may have heard today, Ohio's leadership has closed salons, barbershops, spas and similar businesses. Even though we anticipated this since Sunday, it's still hard to say that the WellNest is closed until further notice.
Know that I am over here trying to come up with a ton of different ways to entertain and educate all my Nesters remotely!! Like I said in my video... maybe we can all develop some good at home self-care routines! We're gonna hunt the good out of this situation. If you have any suggestions on content, feel free to reach out via text, social or email! I'd love to hear from you!
Please watch the following video for updates on policy and procedures. I also throw in a little science about disinfecting** for you as well.
UPDATED Bottom line:
We are closed as of Wednesday, March 18, 2020
If you have a package or gift certificates that are expiring, we will continue to honor it. You will not lose those massages.
** I say 2 minute hand wash... 20 seconds is sufficient :) Also, here is the link to the CDC list of disinfectants, etc. DO NOT MIX AMMONIA OR VINEGAR WITH BLEACH. EVER. Please.
Starting in the late 1990s, a number of studies were conducted comparing microdenier materials used for mopping and wiping surfaces in health care environments with the cleaning efficiency of standard accepted materials [3]. In short, it was discovered that the properties of microdenier materials are more effective at removing bacteria from hard surfaces including old laminate surfaces with microfissures in which bacteria may collect. The bacteria tested included methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and Clostridium difficile. In most cases, cleaning the surface with a microdenier material wetted with DIW resulted in almost complete removal of culturable bacteria. The comparison wiper is known as the J Cloth, a common and accepted wiper used in food service and health care industries. https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/chemistry/microfiber
